Species Guide
Presented in the Species Guide is list of Tree Species that are suitable for Bonsai. The tree list is continuously growing and currently there are 75 or so species listed here. Species are listed alpabetically by Scientific Name and by thier Common Name.

My experience with growing Bonsai has lead me believe that to be able to present a tree at its best, you need a rounded and holistic understanding of the species. In that respect the myBonsaiGuide goes beyond conventional Bonsai Species guides and includes detailed sections on Taxonomy, Propagation and Cultivation for each species, along with the standard Bonsai Care Section.

For the beginner, my suggestion is to, start at the Bonsai Care Section, it presents guidelines to care for your Bonsai.

This Bonsai Guide has been written and researched primarily from the perspective, of the UK and mainly for Zones 8 and 9 in the UK. You will need to make adjustment for your local areas.
