Moving bonsai from the ground to a pot for the first time can be fraught with challenges. We will take an in-depth look at what can be done to mitigate this and how and when we can manage the process with minimal loss.

About the event
We explore advanced root pruning boundaries, stock mounting, advanced soil mixes, repotting techniques and methodologies to ensure that your tree is safely transferred. We will study post-care potting strategies, for survival, rapid growth and development of fullness.  Hands-on work begins by mid-morning when we repot nursery stock. Bring along a tree that you may have purchased from a garden centre that you would like to bonsai. Â
