Mă-Kè Bonsai

STORY & PHILOSOPHY

My journey into the world of bonsai began in 1985, when I first discovered the art through the teachings of Mr. Miyagi from "The Karate Kid". His wisdom and the peaceful nature of bonsai instantly captivated me, sparking a passion that has only grown stronger over the years. What started as a simple interest soon became a profound part of my life, providing a calming and stabilising influence that I came to cherish deeply.

As the years went by, my connection to bonsai deepened, and I felt a strong desire to share this beautiful art form with others. In 2007, I made the bold decision to leave behind my hectic corporate career and dedicate myself fully to this passion. This was the beginning of Mă-Kè Bonsai, a venture born out of a love for bonsai and a commitment to spreading its joy and tranquillity to the world.

Since then, Mă-Kè Bonsai has grown into a vibrant community dedicated to the art of bonsai. We offer a wide array of courses and workshops designed to cater to bonsai enthusiasts at all levels, from those just starting out to seasoned professionals looking to refine their craft. Our mission is to provide high-quality bonsai trees and comprehensive education, helping others discover the peace and fulfilment that bonsai has brought to my life.

Our Bonsai Nursery is a true reflection of our passion, housing hundreds of bonsai trees from around the world. These trees serve as both learning tools and sources of inspiration for our students, allowing them to connect with the ancient traditions of bonsai and develop their own skills in this timeless art.

At Mă-Kè Bonsai, we believe that bonsai is much more than just a hobby—it’s a way of life. We invite you to join us on this journey, to experience the serenity that comes with nurturing a bonsai tree, and to explore the endless possibilities that this art form offers. Together, we can grow, learn, and share in the tranquillity that bonsai brings to our lives.
