Hello and welcome!
I'm Mark D'Cruz, and I'm delighted to be your guide on this journey into the world of bonsai.
My bonsai journey began in 1985, when I acquired my first trees and discovered a deep reverence for nature’s quiet strength. Since then, I’ve cultivated hundreds of bonsai, led workshops around the world, and established studios in both the UK and Portugal. Along the way, I developed The Mă-Kè Bonsai Way, a mindful, regenerative approach that weaves together horticultural skill, artistic design, and ecological care.
In this course, I’ll be introducing you to the knowledge and principles that have shaped my path over the decades. I hope they’ll provide a strong and inspiring foundation for your own bonsai journey.
