The 'Kara Gul' pomegranate, known for its strikingly dark flowers and healthful fruits repalces a tree I lost in my fruit patch. The Kara Gul was aquired from a nursery last year as a half dead seedling, I nursed it back to life and am now planting it back into the ground to get strenght, fruit and perhaps help me reproduce some more pomegranates for other parts of the grounds.

Its the Middle of February and Spring is begining to make it appearence in Central Portugal. The Cherry Plum being a sure sign that things are warming up again. The tree was pruned a bit late this year but it did not seem to have harmed the trees growth. I have recycled all the branches in our permaculture practice composting pit. I will air layer some of the branches to make little Cherry Trees later in the year.

Conifer Bonsai is Part 1 of the Bonsai Europa 2017, Bury, Manchester Exhibition.
